Nose Badge
Replacing a faded badge or making a style change!

There's been quite a few different badges worn by Lotus cars over the years. We fancied changing ours to the black version to match our Black Esprit. You may also want to change your badge due to fading, as the sun can discolour some badges. This is an easy change and doesn't really need a guide, but hey, we've done everything else!

Should take about 5 minutes to fit.

You will need the following parts:

New Badge

You will need the following tools:

Pair of hands

Installation

Nothing wrong with our Lotus Badge, but nothing wrong with a little colour coding. We picked up a black Lotus badge at Hangar 111. Fitting is easy. Open the front compartment and reach under to undo the two nuts holding the badge on. These are rubber covered and can be undo via hand.

Once the nuts are off, wiggle the old badge to loosen it before pulling it out. Push the new one on and replace the nuts!

LEW's Black Esprit now has a badge to match!

LEW's Verdict

This is just a style change to a non-standard, in our SE's case, badge. We think it looks different, not better. The original Lotus Badge is an all-time classic, which is difficult to better. From a style point of view, the black badge looks good on our Black Esprit, but without the classic Yellow & Green badge, it looks a little strange. We're going to give the new black badge some time to see how we feel.
