Donington 2013
20th – 21th April 2013, Donington Park

Unfortunately LEW couldn't attend Donington for almost the first time in almost 10 years. We'll report more here as we get it, but in the meantime here's some impages from this years show. Which looks to have been very sucessful and with a better attentance that the last one in 2011 which did seem quiet.

            

2013 Club Lotus Show and Festival Report
It’s been a few years since LotusDriversClub enjoyed the last Club Lotus Show at Donington so it was good to be back.

Come Saturday morning the recently refurbished exhibition hall was once again packed full of trade stands, exhibitors and Lotus clubs. Displayed on the Lotus Drivers Club stand was a Lotus Elan Sprint, Elan +2, S2 Elise R, S1 Exige R (lotuspower conversion) and the exclusive Lotus Evora GTE which raced in the American Le Mans Series.

Lotus Racing and Alex Job Racing joined forces to compete in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) GT championship in 2012 and the Evora certainly attracted a crowd over the two days. The Cosworth V6 produces a blistering 470 bhp and with carbon fibre, quick release body panels, this Lotus certainly is the real deal!

Of course, the Donington Lotus Show wouldn’t be complete without the obligatory Lotus car park, which in itself is a show all of its own. With the spring sunshine arriving in time for Saturday, it didn’t take long for the main car park to fill up with cars. Indoors, it was great to see so many members and enthusiasts visiting the stand to chat, sign up for events and of course admire the great cars on display.
Thank you to everyone involved in helping setup and run the club stand over the weekend and to John and Debbie Sharples, Ted Jablonski, Eddie King and Richard Wilson for displaying their pride and joy.
