LEW's Christmas Message
Lotus Esprit World would like to wish it's users a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. We hope 2006 will be as interesting as the last few years have been. We'd also like to thanks users for their support and input into the site, making the community stronger and stronger.
Special mention to Dermot O'Hare, Rob Ellis and Paul Chandler for organising the meetings and supporting the community. Andy Betts for his great work with the LEF, which has really grown from strength to strength. And to all those that have taken the time to photograph the work they have done on their Esprits and sat down and written a guide for LEW. Which benefits every owner. Making the Esprit community probably the best group of enthusiasts in the world. With a community so strong, it's hard to mention everyone, but you know what you've put back into the community and we are grateful.
A mention should also go to those who have donated to LEW's second laptop fund. This was set-up by members of the LEF without LEW's knowledge, who kindly started donating so LEW's old and very well used ibook can be replace with a newer model. Thanks also to users who purchased a calendar this year. Profits from this help to keep LEW running and supporting the community.
LEW would also like to thank Lotus Cars and Lotus Engineering for their support over 2005 and especially Brian and Geoff, who's help is priceless. And of course we should mention our Advertisers/Sponsors who support the site and your cars. PNM Engineering, South West Lotus Centre, PUK Esprit, LotusBits.com, Sportomotive, Paul Matty Sportscars, Esprit Engineering, SJ Sportscars, Ramspott & Brandt, Morland Jones, Stratton Motor Company and Christopher Neils. Who without, running an Esprit just wouldn't be possible.
2006 is looking bright for Esprit owners and Enthusiast alike.

Well done to this years winner, Lotus Esprit World. LEW is run by Kato who has committed a lot of time to supporting the entire range of the Lotus Esprit, from technical data and buying guides, through to chat forums and events. If you have ever thought of buying an Esprit, this really is the place to go, and Lotus Esprit owners I have met always have high regard for Kato and the web site. Well done mate, keep up the good work.
A big thank you to all the people who have voted this year and for the suggestions. And a big thank you to all those who tried to do multiple votes, nice try ;) See you all in 2006 for which I think will be a very interesting Lotus year!
Lotus Cars & LEW Competition
To end a great 2005 for the Esprit, for both Lotus Cars and Lotus Esprit World, we are running a little competition in conjunction with Lotus. The winners will receive a prize from Lotus of either, parts or repair manual (to be decided by Lotus Cars Ltd).
To win just give us the best answer for what the object is under the hood of the US V8 above.
A prize will be given out for the most accurate answer and one for the most creative answer!
The winning entry will be judged by LEW & Lotus Cars.
To enter just send an email with the title Esprit Competition to firstname.lastname@example.org. Supply your answer in no more than 20 words. Also include your name, postal address and contact email. You will be emailed back to confirm your entry.
The winner will be announced here when we feel like it ;-) (mostly likely the first week of the new year)
We will also confirm the actual propose of the part once the competition closes.
LEW's decision is final

Xmas Card from Lotus
LEW received a christmas card from Lotus today thanking us for our good work over the year. They also told us of a deal they've struck with OZ Wheels to get more stock made of the Sport 350 Mag Wheels. Which is great news! With the new suspension becoming available in 2006 from Bilstein & Eibach (you'll hear about it first on LEW), it'll be a busy year for Lotus and the Esprit.
After a short break in Italy, where internet access was lacking, LEW is back to normal services. We are now answering all the emails that have been sent in the last few days. LEW will also be taking a short break between Xmas and New Year. So don't panic if you don't get your email answered and the site isn't updated for a few days. We will be back as strong as ever in 2006.
2006 Calendars for Xmas Delivery!
For delivery of your Esprit Calendar before Xmas orders need to be made before Sunday 18th December. The deadlines for Europe and the US has passed, so orders will be delivered the beginning of the new year.
