Castle Combe 'The Hand Over'
Saturday 26th May
Saturday saw the handover of our little project back to it's owner after some 2,000 man hours of work, enough parts to sink a fair sized battleship and a ruined pair of shorts. Despite 47 Esprit's and around 70 people from LEF in attendance we maintained the surprise until BigSi saw his Esprit driving out onto the track at around 2pm! Cue many tears, much back slapping followed by joy and smiles and more emotion he seemed pretty made up to say the least!
A big thank you to everyone involved, from the smallest help to the huge sacrifices made by some, this has been a brilliant time and shows that Esprit owners are a different breed. Also thanks to Alan Morgan at Club Lotus for giving us the exclusive track time on such a busy day. Good on you all, well done for making such an acheivement a reality, it makes me proud to be a part of what we have.
Read all about it on the forum and view photos, video of the magical moment and more now!

17th June 2007
Supercar Sunday will be held this year on Sunday 17th June at the Heritage Motor Museum, Gaydon, Warwickshire. See 2004's event here! There was no event in 2005 and we didn't make it there last year.
Dermot was on top form and managed to talk them into giving us an allocation of 30 cars places and 24 individual passes. So he want us to fill this up please otherwise he will look both silly and broke. If you get a car place and no individual band then you can buy one on the day at the gate for yourself and a guest. There is no way they will let you in the display area without the car pass.So the way he's doing it is first come first allocated. You need to email dermot directly to: email@example.com with your name and address. He confirms if you have got one and will post you out the car pass and wrist band entry passes once he has been sent them.
Car Pass will be £6 and Individual wrist band pass £6. The driver also needs an individual pass. Dermot will request the money by paypal or cheque once you have been allocated one. The thread on LEF will be updated with the names as they come in.
Past events have attracted interest from a wide variety of Characters and Cars and helped raise large amounts of cash for various Charities.
The cost of entry is £350 per person with a minimum of 2 people per vehicle.
Fancy taking part in the 2007 event, then contact Britballrun via firstname.lastname@example.org and ask for an application pack.

August 24-27 2007
Through the hard efforts of the LOG Committee, we are proud to announce that Emerson Fittipaldi will be our featured guest speaker for LOG 27 in Snowmass/Aspen August 24-27, 2007.
For those of you who are looking for a little Lotus history lesson. At 25 Emmo was then the youngest champion in F1 history. The combination of the 72D and E's points earnings were enough to gain Team Lotus the 1973 F1 Manufacturers Championship.
In his first full year as Lotus' lead driver in 1971, Fittipaldi finished sixth in the drivers' championship as the team experimented with a new chassis, the Lotus 72. Armed with what was arguably the greatest Formula One design of all time, the Lotus 72D Emmo proved unstoppable in 1972 as he won five of 11 races and easily won the F1 Drivers' Championship from Jackie Stewart by 16 points.
Emmo will be joined by such illuminaries as;
Peter Egan - Road & Track Editor at Large
Alain de Cadenet - Driver, Narrator, and TV Personality
We hope this will motivate you to a trek out to Colorado!!
